Day by day itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your Arusha hotel. Settle in, relax, and meet your guide for a full trek briefing and gear check.

Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp – Into the Forest

Drive to Machame Gate, complete registration, and start your trek through lush rainforest. Spot monkeys and colorful birds as you ascend to Machame Camp.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp – Enter the Moorlands

Leave the forest behind and climb into heather-filled moorlands with views of Shira Plateau. Arrive at Shira Camp and enjoy an optional acclimatization hike.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp – Lava Tower Acclimatization

Trek to Lava Tower (4,600m) before descending to Barranco Camp. This climb-high, sleep-low day helps prepare your body for the summit ahead.

Day 5: Barranco Wall to Karanga Camp – Short but Steep

Conquer the iconic Barranco Wall, then follow ridges to Karanga Camp. An acclimatization hike in the afternoon helps boost your summit readiness.

Day 6: Karanga to Barafu Camp – Summit Prep

Ascend to Barafu Camp, your final stop before summit night. After lunch, rest and hydrate. Optional acclimatization hike to Kosovo Camp available before early bedtime.

Day 7: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak & Descent to Millennium Camp

Begin your summit push at midnight. Reach Stella Point, then Uhuru Peak at sunrise. Descend to Barafu for rest, then onward to Millennium Camp.

Day 8: Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Arusha

Descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate for your summit certificate. Transfer back to your Arusha hotel to relax and celebrate your success.

Day 9: Departure – Until Next Time

After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight. Extensions to Zanzibar or safari parks are available on request.
