Day by day itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Welcome to Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Relax, recover, and meet your guide for a pre-trek briefing.

Day 2: Drive to Londorossi Gate – Trek to Shira 1 Camp

Take a scenic drive to Londorossi Gate, complete registration, and trek across the Shira Plateau to reach Shira 1 Camp.

Day 3: Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp

Ascend gradually through moorland to Shira 2 Camp, with a short acclimatization hike toward Lava Tower in the afternoon.

Day 4: Shira 2 to Moir Hut via Lava Tower

Trek to the Lava Tower (4,600m) for acclimatization, then descend to the remote and scenic Moir Hut beneath Lent Hills.

Day 5: Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp

Continue through rarely explored alpine terrain on Kilimanjaro’s northern slopes, with sweeping views of Kenya’s wilderness. Overnight at Buffalo Camp.

Day 6: Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp

Trek through peaceful highland terrain toward Third Cave Camp. Enjoy excellent acclimatization and the solitude of this remote setting.

Day 7: Third Cave to School Hut

A steady climb leads to School Hut, your final base before the summit push. Rest and hydrate in preparation for summit night.

Day 8: Summit Uhuru Peak – Descend to Millennium Camp

Begin your summit trek at midnight. Reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise and descend through Barafu to Millennium Camp for well-earned rest.

Day 9: Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Arusha

Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Celebrate your achievement before heading back to Arusha for a relaxing evening.

Day 10: Departure Day

After breakfast, enjoy leisure time or explore Arusha before your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
